Description
DOWSIL™ 1406 General Purpose Polyurethane Foam is a one-component, moisture-curing, self-expanding aerosol polyurethane foam.
It is designed for easy dispensing using the straw adapter included with each can.
Importantly, it does not contain any propellant gases that harm the ozone layer.
Features
Excellent Adhesion & Filling Capacity
High Thermal and Acoustic Insulation Value
Adheres to almost all building materials
Overpaintable and waterproof
Monolithic thermal insulation without seams, junctures and connections
Easy to apply to uneven surfaces where traditional insulation materials can’t be used
Surface contaminated with oils and greases, mold release agents and similar materials must be avoided
Cured foam dries rigid and can be trimmed, shaped and sanded
Performance Highlights
Single Component
High thermal insulation value
Overpaintable with most common paints
Good acoustic value
Adheres well to wood, metal and concrete surfaces
Good expansion capacity & Water proof
Easy to use
Applications
Insulating of door and window frames.
Filling and sealing gaps, joints and cavities.
Filling of penetrations in walls.
Insulating electrical outlets and water pipes.
Instructions
Shake the can well before use. Screw the adapter on the valve. Hold the can upside down and activate the foam by pressing the valve. Moisturising the surfaces and the foam improves adhesion and shortens curing time.
